The 21st February 2017 was the celebration of the international mother tongue day. On that occasion, the Executive Secretary of CERDOTOLA, Professor Charles Binam Bikoi had an interview on the national Radio CRTV.

Concerning the IMTD.

UNESCO supports teaching in mother tongue and multilingual education through the International Mother Tongue Day (IMTD). The general objective of the day is to contribute to the promotion of world citizenship education.

The opening ceremony took place at the Organisation Head Office on February 21, 2017, under the theme: “towards sustainable futures thanks to multilingual education.” The day was in relation with “education for people and the planet:  create sustainable futures for all”, theme of the follow-up world Report of UNESCO on education in 2016.
